Scans showed the 26-year-old flanker had suffered mild inflammation to a tendon in his foot.

Haskell trained with the rest of the England squad ahead of the game at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Fellow flanker and captain Lewis Moody has been ruled out with a knee injury picked up against Wales recently.

Moody hopes to make his return in England’s opening World Cup match against Argentina on 10 September.

Scrum-half Ben Youngs is also set to miss Saturday’s game as he continues his recovery from knee surgery, meaning Wasps’ Joe Simpson is likely to make his Test debut ats some stage in Dublin.

Prop Andrew Sheridan, who has also missed the opening two warm-up games after summer shoulder surgery, has an outside chance of playing some part.

Should the 31-year-old remain on the sidelines, the versatile Matt Stevens may be asked to switch to loose-head prop, Alex Corbisiero having started both the warm-up games against Wales.

Johnson, who will confirm his side at 1200 BST on Thursday, is also believed to be considering fielding a new centre partnership, with 20-year-old Manu Tuilagi in line for his second cap.

The manager is also juggling the merits of whether Jonny Wilkinson – who impressed in the win over Wales at Twickenham – or Toby Flood, unconvincing in the defeat in Cardiff, should start at fly-half.

Whichever player is given the number 10 jersey will be in pole position to start the World Cup there against the Pumas.

Watch Wallabies vs All blacks Live Stream Tri Nation Live on your pc with HD quality. Wallaby Hooker Stephen Moore is determined to beat the All Blacks so they can end a decade of TriNations disappointment by winning the tournament. 

The Wallabies have home advantage on Saturday when they host the All Blacks for the TriNations decider in Brisbane. 

The Wallabies have not won the TriNations since 2001 and Moore says he has not forgotten the heartache of the last Tri-Nations decider at Suncorp Stadium when Australia let the All Blacks come back and snatch the victory and the title in 2008.

In that match the Wallabies were leading 17-7 but they started to slip off tackles and the turnovers started going New Zealand's way. 

This year the Wallabies will also be looking to make up for the 30-14 loss to the All Blacks in Auckland but Moore says this weekend is a chance to erase the burning pain from four years ago.

"The game in 2008 up here, we had a good lead there and we let that one go and that was hugely disappointing,"

There are just four survivors from the 2008 clash in Moore, new captain James Horwill, former skipper Rocky Elsom and Adam Ashley-Cooper.

"You certainly don't forget those encounters," he told AAP. 

"We're lucky to have another chance now to do it so we're very determined to try and make it happen."

The last time the Wallabies won the TriNations Toutai Kefu scored in the last minute and John Eales slotted a conversion and since then they has slipped up in last-match deciders in 2004, 2007 and 2008.

Moore played in the 2007 and '08 deciders against the All Blacks and says that the Wallabies have just as good a chance to end their trophy drought this weekend. 

Even though the Wallabies have a poor record against the All Blacks in the TriNations Moore says that the Wallabies will be far more driven and effective at the tackle contest this week. 

"They outplayed us, particularly at the breakdown. Their enthusiasm and just the way they contested that area of the game was above where we were at," Moore said.

"We addressed that in the last few weeks and improved for Durban (beating South Africa 14-9) and we'll have to be better again on Saturday."

The Wallabies have lost the last nine TriNations matches (not including the extra Bledisloe Cup clashes) and have never beaten the All Blacks at the former Lang Park.

They have however won 16 out of 19 matches played at the ground.

HOUSTON — Monday's kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and odds are Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will have traded his helmet for a baseball cap or visor by, say, 7:25 or so.

And it's not only Schaub, either — coach Gary Kubiak reiterated Saturday that his starters will likely only line up for 10-12 plays in the preseason opener against the New York Jets. Given all of the injuries last season on defense, limiting snaps there — even amidst a transition to a new scheme — is logical.

Doing the same to an offense that ranked third in the NFL in total offense (386.6 yards per game), fourth in passing (259 yards per game), seventh in rushing (127.6 yards) and ninth in scoring (24.4 points) last season makes sense, too, especially since virtually all the key components return.

Familiarity obviously matters. But how much?

“We've been working hard, but it's just different with live bullets, in live game action,” Schaub said. “... No matter where you are as a team, whether you've been together two years or 10 years — you still have to develop that rhythm, that timing and your identity as a group.”

Last year, Schaub completed 5 of 6 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in a brief stint against Arizona in his preseason debut, so scratch the notion he might need more meaningful exhibition snaps.

But then again, sloppiness must be avoided.

“We have so many players and only so many reps to go around,” Schaub said. “We're an offense that's been around each other for numerous years. We want to make sure we're in a good place, sharp in what we're doing.”

Tight end Owen Daniels believes an emphasis on starting quicker should be a priority. In 2010, the Texans rolled up just 159.1 of those 386.6 yards per game in the first halves. They were great late, scoring the fourth-most points (8.0 points per game) and a league-high 112.2 yards from scrimmage in the fourth quarter.

“We want to be able to get off to a good start, put a good drive together, however long Coach lets us stay out there,” he said.

Of course, there are no guarantees the prolific offense will be back. Arian Foster, the reigning rushing champion, is sidelined with a hamstring issue.

Plus, Vonta Leach, the fullback who opened holes for Foster a year ago — is in Baltimore.

A replacement must be found.

All Blacks assistant rugby coach Steve Hansen says that the Wallabies do not respect his team but they won't use it as motivation for this weekend. 

The Wallabies will start their match against the All Blacks at Eden Park with considerably more confidence after they ended a 10 match losing streak in Hong Kong when they last met. 

Henson said that when he was coach of Wales they were in awe of the All Blacks but the Wallabies were even less intimidated. 

"The Australians aren't in awe of us, they probably don't even respect us," he told a media gathering. 

"You've only got to read what they've got to say," Hansen told NZPA. 

Hansen did however add that this would not serve as any motivation for this weekend's clash at Eden Park.

"We have our own motivation, we don't need someone else to motivate us. "

"The black jersey motivates our players, it has for centuries and will probably continue to, it's such an important jersey." 

The Wallabies have not beaten the All Blacks at Eden Park since 1986 and Henson said that keeping that record going was important as it is the same venue where most of the World Cup knockout matches will be played. 

"Auckland's obviously the home here in New Zealand where most of the big games are played because of the size of the venue, so the importance of those matches are usually right up there, and wanting it to stay tight and a fortress for want of a better term is pretty important," he said. 

"That's where they're going to play the World Cup final and we want to be in it and of course we want to win it, so it's important." 

The last team to beat the All Blacks was France in 1994 when they snuck past the All Blacks 20-23. 

The match on Saturday doubles as a Bledisloe Cup match as well as the TriNations match and if the All Blacks win this weekend they will retain the Bledisloe Cup for another year. 

Henson said that the players have discussed the trophy and it's history to remind them how important it is. 

"We do it every year, there's some little talk just to remind each other what the history of the Bledisloe Cup's all about."

"It's something that's pretty hard to win when you lose it and we don't want to lose it, we want to keep hold of it, and this year's no different," he said. 

"It's got history, there's no doubt about that."

"This team's built on history, it's built on a legacy, and it's just like family - you talk about things that happened in the past and where you'd like to go in the future. That's all we do too." 

On the injury front Hansen said that while most of the team had gotten through training their biggest concern was prop John Afoa's cheek injury which he suffered against the Springboks. 

"He'll see the surgeon today and they'll find out whether they're going to put a plate in it, whether they're going to leave it as it is. "

"It could be two to three weeks or it could be six weeks."
